Engagement Approach

If you’ve never worked with us before, our approach to client services may not be familiar to you. At Carolyn A. Mayes, CPA we’re proud of our engagement approach. We strive to deliver the best service, and we know that to be the best, sometimes we have to think outside the box.

We use a team approach to our engagements. In other words, we work with you to identify the engagement, to identify how to make the engagement most effective and efficient, and to identify the people responsible for meeting each deadline. Experience has proven this kind of team approach to be a win-win situation for both clients and Carolyn A. Mayes, CPA

Our Team Engagement Approach:

  1. Identify the engagement.

  2. Detail the engagement steps.

  1. Identify possible risk areas.

  1. Identify when and how possible risk areas will be addressed.

  1.  Identify specific agreements, schedules, reconciliations and other supporting detail to be provided by your company.

  1. Establish a timeline for completing the engagement steps.

  1. Identify the person(s) responsible for completing each engagement step on time.

  1. Agree on the engagement, engagement fee and engagement approach before the engagement begins.

Your company benefits from this team approach by receiving staff training in financial information presentation and internal controls, increasing your staff’s ability to produce useful financial information for management and directors, and minimizing professional fees. We benefit from the increased effectiveness of your accounting and reporting systems.

After all, if we can help our clients do business better, we build better long-term business relationships for our firm.
